TOPIC: World 15A, intercontinental airport problem

But the Darwin 300 crashes a lot because their reliability will be (very) low.

Start with Airtaxi A21 and replace them for Darwin600.

Reliability only really matters on servers with breakdowns turned on - as long as the airport size matches the aircraft it shouldn't really matter.

I'm pretty sure that if the reliability is really low, crashes, even on big airports, occur more often.

Depends on the game settings, but usually the crash percentage is 0.07%, or 5% when large aircraft go into small airports (from OpenTTD wiki). I'm not sure if we've got anything set up to connect reliability to crashes.

its 2000 and later, most large airplanes are almost imdiaty away.

Breakdowns on. Crashs/acidents on. Disasters not.

As I said, start with the Airtaxi A21, replace them with auto-replace to Darwin600 (Darwin300 is indeed not available anymore later in the game). If it's really late in the game, get the Dinger200 (I think it's the 200, the one with the 400 pax + high mail capacity).

But with 75 Darwin600's, somewhat equally spread over 2 of the 7x7 airports should be enough to reach the pax and mail requirements if you use your in-town mail (and pax) too.
