TOPIC: World 15A, intercontinental airport problem

In world 15A citybuilder i can't place a intercontinental airport, it says: "station to spread out" But its not part of or adjacent to another station of any company. The international airport can't handle my planes. Help?

You can only build stations that are 7x7 tiles big on that server. The biggest airports are bigger than that, so they are effectively turned off. Generally trains are a better idea when it comes to transporting large quantities of stuff.

Aircrafts do pretty well on this server i noticed but my airport cant handle the planes and theres no space to place 2 airports

(mostly for passanger/mail)

On goods etc. its indeed mostly better to have trains or trucks.

2 of the 7x7 airports should be able to handle all your passenger and mail requirements, if you add some mail trucks (and maybe busses) in your own town too.

And yes, add trains if airports can't handle it. Trains have larger capacity, stations can handle more trains than airports can planes and trains have a higher profit usually.

I used some trains but my planes keept bringing passangers faster and making more profit so i could expand the transit to grow more town. I found in THIS citybuilder plane more efficient. Now you say 2, airports could handle but it would get a strangle of busses for a 1000 people town

anyway, thanks for answering, ill figure soemthing out with 2 airports

Remember that it's worth sacrificing the speed of the Yate Haugan for the capacity of the Darwin 200 (or 300, I forget which), because it's not revenue that matters but volume.
